Isidro Raul Mejia, our PBC Democratic Hispanic Caucus President and PBC Young Democrat Vice President-Membership, appeared on NBC WPTV Channel Five's 'To the Point' to discuss Hispanic-politics leading into the 2012 Presidential election. "Raul" and Juan Cocuy, Chairperson of the Palm Beach County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, spoke about Hispanic support for President Obama and Democrats as Republicans seem eager to win over more Hispanic voters. Both sides argued over how the "Hispanic community" would approach the voting booth considering the current status of immigration reform, our country's economy, education and healthcare reforms, state efforts to pass immigration legislation, and the diverse nature of the Hispanic community. Each side argued distinct wedge-issues that could create an ambivalent vote next fall.
